And now, Trump NFTs\u2014excuse me, <a href=\"https:\/\/collecttrumpcards.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trump Digital Trading Cards<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The collection of 45,000 non-fungible tokens depicting Trump in absurdly heroic poses, each priced at $99, sold out within a day of last week\u2019s \u201cmajor announcement\u201d of the drop. Political commentators had been expecting news surrounding Trump\u2019s third presidential campaign. Instead, we got JPGs. Thousands and thousands of them.<\/p>\n<p>You could buy Trump the astronaut, Trump the fighter pilot, Trump the Old West sheriff, and Trump the Nascar driver. Man-of-the-people options include Trump the welder and Trump the hunter.<\/p>\n<p>There was also Trump standing in front of Mount Rushmore, his visage added to the monument, rechristened Mount Trumpmore, or at the Hollywood sign, which now reads Trumpworld.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2231677\" style=\"width: 1010px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-2231677\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Clark Mitchell, Trump Digital Trading Card.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>In a rare nod to realism, there\u2019s Trump the golfer. (Some cards double as ads for Trump golf courses, with backdrops of his greens in Dubai, West Palm Beach, and the Bronx.)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnlike fan art you may see elsewhere, these are the first authorized Trump Digital Trading Cards ever created,\u201d the FAQ for the project reads. These include \u201cTrump Force One\u201d flying above a Trump figure with outstretched, comically oversized hands. (The former president has been notably sensitive about suggestions his are tiny.)<\/p>\n<p>Of the full set of NFTs, 44,000 were available for purchase, which presumably means Trump kept 1,000 for himself. An additional 17 people purchased 100 NFTs, the maximum number allowed.<\/p>\n<p>The current floor price for the collection is hovering around $310, or more than three times the original cost. It went for a surprisingly hefty 37 ETH ($43,644.46).<\/p>\n<p>Trump\u2019s NFT drop comes amid what\u2019s been dubbed crypto winter.
