Sebastien Borget, co-founder of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/metaverse-for-beginners\/sandbox-sand-a-beginners-guide-to-the-trending-metaverse-platform\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Sandbox metaverse<\/a>, even called the future of the metaverse evolving.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to Cointelegraph\u2019s Gareth Jenkinson at the Web Summit tech conference in Portugal on Nov. 3, Borget said that what we see today in The Sandbox is \u201cthe natural evolution of things\u201d after almost a decade of work. This is something that metaverse projects allow as they progress.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIt is not just about the influence and the reach of the celebrity or the brand. It\u2019s all about the content \u2014 the characters, stories and locations that people are familiar with and want to interact with.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Aside from the value of top-tier brands and big-name celebrities popping up in digital words, Borget said something to highlight is the actual users:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cPlayers themselves bring life by being present, by engaging in the land. That is also something that should be seen as valuable because they contribute to the growth of the network.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Any evolution of a digital platform cannot be made without active users engaging with the new tools and experiences. That\u2019s something that many brands are looking at because they not only reach Gen Z, but they help define the future of themselves in 3D worlds.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Despite recent\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/metaverse-platforms-refute-misinformation-about-daily-active-users\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rumors surrounding low metaverse engagement<\/a>, investors and even governments\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/ecosystem-is-bullish-on-the-metaverse-no-matter-what-the-numbers-imply\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">are bullish on building<\/a>\u00a0out the digital universe.
