Dubbed<em> \u201cSticks and Shelter,\u201d<\/em> the documentary follows the life of Mick Donnovan, a recovering addict and ex-professional drummer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525;\">Donnovan resides at the Macari Centre, a non-profit organization committed to helping end homelessness in Stoke-on-Trent. To this end, the location is run by former Manchester United legend Lou Macari and houses around 50 individuals, providing them with meals and shelter. Over recent years, tough economic times have put a strain on people\u2019s livelihoods, and Shelter<a href=\"https:\/\/england.shelter.org.uk\/media\/press_release\/at_least_271000_people_are_homeless_in_england_today#:~:text=Posted%2011%20Jan%202023&amp;text=New%20research%20from%20Shelter%20shows,England%20are%20without%20a%20home.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> estimates<\/a> around 271,000 are homeless in the UK.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525;\">Sticks and Shelter aims to tell an emotional story of hope and friendship, and to fund the project it has turned to NFTs to raise \u00a350,000. The fundraising will take place on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/paus_tv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paus<\/a>, a Web3 media platform that helps filmmakers finance and distribute films using non-fungible tokens. On the motivations of the documentary, he notes, <em>\u201cOne of the biggest driving forces of Sticks &amp; Shelter is seeing Micky\u2019s lost passion for music and drums reignite in rare moments. My hope is that with the encouragement of Lou Macari and the deadline of a concert, Mickey might have another shot.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"color: #252525;\">How To Fund Slick Films New Documentary<\/h4>\n<p style=\"color: #252525;\">The actual fundraising will start on January 30<sup style=\"color: #252525;\">th<\/sup> and run for a limited period. Then proceeding to select a tier and initiating the transaction. The first \u2018Supporter\u2019 tier costs 0.08 ETH, the second \u2018Co-executive Producer\u2019 costs 0.8 ETH, the third \u2018Executive Producer\u2019 tier goes for 16 ETH, and the fourth \u2018Digital Producer\u2019 will cost 0.4 ETH.
