In fact, the new CEO of YouTube is full of admiration for the technology.<\/p>\n<p>Neal Mohan spoke glowingly about NFTs in his recent <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.youtube\/inside-youtube\/innovations-for-2022-at-youtube\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">blog post. <\/a>Indeed, Mohan even listed examples of how he sees NFTs being integrated into his platform.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cWe believe new technologies like blockchain and NFTs can allow creators to build deeper relationships with their fans. Inevitably, the new CEO Neal Mohan will pick up where former<a href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/91179\/youtube-ceo-hints-at-nft-integration-in-letter-to-creators\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"> CEO Susan Wojcicki left off<\/a>, and start the integration of NFTs. Prior to her departure, Susan hinted that she would be \u201cexpanding the YouTube ecosystem\u201d to include \u201cthings like NFTs\u201d. Now, it seems imminent that Mohan will integrate Web3 tools for YouTube creators.<\/p>\n<p>Based on his previous comments, we can expect creators to be more empowered in the new era. Moreover, there will be more paths to monetising content with NFTs. For example, fans could buy an NFT which gains them access to exclusive content. Additionally, selling video segments as NFTs could be another path for creators, which gives value to their fans.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<h2>NFTs are slowly taking over<\/h2>\n<p>YouTube is not the first tech giant to make the leap into Web3.
