Yu Suzuki, the brains behind popular Sega<\/a> title Virtua Fighter, is set to launch the game\u2019s characters as NFTs, much to the delight of its fans. In a recent announcement, Sukuzi notes he will be teaming up with OASYX<\/a>, an NFT protocol, to create 1,000 Virtua Fighter digital collectibles that will be based on 11 Virtua Fighter characters from the game\u2019s first three titles.<\/p>\n According to OASYX, these non-fungible tokens will serve as the base for the game\u2019s future Metaverse avatars. At the helm will be Suzuki, who was responsible for developing the popular fighting game of the 1990s.<\/p>\n Despite having left his role as director of Sega in 2009, Suzuki has maintained a close working relationship with the company he gave most of his time and creative genius to.
