What is this partnership between Gucci and Yuga Labs?<\/span><\/h2>\n

On Monday, Yuga Labs announced the upcoming launch of Otherside: Relics by Gucci<\/a>. This consists of a limited-edition series of physical Gucci products and corresponding NFTs. Those are linked to the lore of Otherside, Yuga\u2019s metaverse game.<\/span><\/p>\n

The KodaPendant is the inaugural item in this series. It is an enhanced version of the existing Koda and Vessel NFTs. It will provide its owner with a branded chat handle in Otherside and feature visual upgrades for the 3D Avatars in Otherside, such as Trail VFX. 3D Avatars should be available this summer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The sale is set to commence on Thursday, April 6th, at 6 pm ET and will continue for 24 hours or until all KodaPendants are sold out. A total of 3,333 items will be available for purchase exclusively using Apecoin, Yuga\u2019s native cryptocurrency. The price is 450 APE, which is equivalent to $1,940 at the time of writing. To acquire one, buyers must already own at least one Koda or Vessel NFT. <\/span>Customers will be able to buy only one per transaction for one Koda or Vessel NFT.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each KodaPendant NFT comes with a physical KodaPendant<\/a>. It is crafted from 925 silver with an antique finish. Moreover, it features a Koda-shaped pendant with GG engraving and an interlocking G chain. Each physical KodaPendant will also have a unique edition number engraved on the back.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the Otherside?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Yuga Labs unveiled its metaverse project, Otherside, a year ago. The company released 100,000 Otherdeeds NFTs, and the first test drive of the metaverse took place in July 2022. At that time, around 4,500 Otherdeed holders had the opportunity to explore Yuga Labs\u2019 creation. A \u201csecond trip\u201d occurred on March 25th, with more than 7,200 holders gathering in small groups to communicate directly and engage in games for 90 minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yuga\u2019s new project has already experienced significant success. Otherdeed NFTs have generated 568,607 ETH in trading volume, amounting to just over $1 billion.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yuga has not yet announced a date for its \u201cThird Trip\u201d. However, the company has hinted at new announcements in the upcoming months. More advanced experiences and opportunities for token holders to enter the Otherside should become available.<\/p>\n

The collaboration with Gucci is presented by Yuga Labs as the initial chapter of a partnership that aims to blur \u201cthe boundaries between the physical and digital.\u201d The project\u2019s official website explains that \u201cOtherside Relics by Gucci represents the first chapter of a broader partnership between Yuga and Gucci, in which fashion, entertainment, and web3 collide, pushing the boundaries of what\u2019s possible in both digital and physical spaces.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
