Known as Bitcoin Babies, this collection launches Genopets into cross-chain functionality and brings the first game utility to Bitcoin NFTs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bitcoin Ordinals have been the talk of the town the past few weeks. And while some the NFT collections on Bitcoin Ordinals have proven to be quite valued by the community, there hasn\u2019t been much in the way of game NFTs.<\/p>\n<p>This upcoming mint for Genopets will change that. And though these new Bitcoin Babies exist on the Bitcoin blockchain, the Genopets game will remain entrenched on Solana. <\/p>\n<p>They say that all OG members, as well as Genesis Genopet and Habitat holders can earn a spot on the whitelist. Though we don\u2019t yet have any details about what it will take to actually get on the list. And even if you do get a whitelist spot, they\u2019ve already said that it will be oversubscribed. The Genopets team has also informed us that the number of Bitcoin Babies will be limited to the 100s, so expect there to be some competition for this mint.<\/p>\n<p>The cost of these mints is still to be decided, though the team says it will somewhere around the floor of Genesis. It\u2019s unclear if they mean Genesis Pets, which are at about 19 SOL, or Habitats, which are going for under 10 SOL. Or maybe somewhere in the middle? Hopefully this will be clarified soon. Rumors also have it that minting Ordinals can be expensive. Even as much as 0.01 BTC!? <\/p>\n<p>We do have a time and date for the mint \u2014 April 13th, at 8:30am PT. When using the Genopets app, players collect steps while walking. They convert those steps into Energy, and then use that Energy to level up their Pet or exchange for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.playtoearn.online\/2022\/06\/29\/everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-genopets-ki-token\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KI tokens<\/a>. KI tokens are the main currency in Genopets and used to craft Crystals, upgrade Pets, and maintain Habitats.<\/p>\n<p>Genopets visually change as they level up. Higher level Pets also offer a better step to Energy conversion rate. Genopets recently introduced new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.playtoearn.online\/2022\/09\/27\/genopets-update-step-conversion-rates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">level-based Energy conversion system<\/a>\u00a0that greatly reduced the amount of Energy generated by players. Especially those with low level Genopets.<\/p>\n<p>Genopets features a number of NFTs, as well as the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.playtoearn.online\/2022\/07\/31\/genopets-partners-with-magic-eden-for-sft-marketplace\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new style \u2018SFTs\u2019<\/a>\u00a0for stackable resources. The main NFTs are Genesis Genopets and Habitats. SFT Resources include Raw Crystals, Refined Crystals, Terraform Seeds, and Pet Augments.
