Blockchain infrastructure specialist Crossmint<\/a>, has teamed up with art\u00e8Q<\/a> to launch a Tintin<\/a> NFT collection. The partnership also includes Tintinimaginatio, a newly established company meant to protect and promote the Tintin legacy.<\/p>\n Dubbed \u201cThe Blue Lotus,\u201d <\/em>this collection is an illustration of the original work created by Herg\u00e9 in 1936, which was sold for $2.8 million through an auction two years ago. The collection features two different sets of NFTs. The first is a limited-edition print work of which only 777 copies exist, and the other is a set of limited-edition digital-only artworks of which only 1,777 pieces are on offer.<\/p>\n According to the press release, each NFT boasts unique traits that tell the Tintin story. For instance, the geographic locations to which the character has traveled, and so on. By purchasing the NFTs, each holder unlocks various perks, such as an exclusive pass to the Herg\u00e9 museum and early access to new versions of \u201cThe Blue Lotus\u201d <\/em>book before it is published. In addition, they receive a digital brochure of Herg\u00e9\u2019s work that has been created by Philippe Goddin, a well-known Herg\u00e9ologist.<\/p>\n Fans of Tintin can jump on the official website dubbed Digital Tintin to snap up these blockchain-backed collectibles.
